How to connect an MCP client
Use Streamable HTTP at the configured endpoint. In Cletus, add a Remote HTTP MCP connection with a regular Lens Bearer key. Give a read key search access; use a scoped management key only when uploads or catalog changes are needed.
One-file upload links are short-lived and contain a fragment token. Clients receive durable job IDs and can poll processing. Turning MCP off closes new protocol calls and pending upload tickets; accepted jobs keep running. Keep credentials out of copied URLs.
MCP uses Streamable HTTP and regular Lens Bearer keys. Use a scoped application key for a client; do not put a master key in the connection.

Stop all Lens writers before rebuilding; this web UI will be unavailable during maintenance. Back up PostgreSQL, S3, Qdrant, and encryption material using the operations runbook. Build into a fresh Qdrant collection, validate, and activate. Then align or remove any legacy embedding and Qdrant collection environment values, verify, and restart Lens.
